Government
Deputy Mayor Jim Williams

I am pleased to bring, as Deputy Mayor, the knowledge to work with other membersof Council to make Cramahe Township  progressive, caring and affordable community in which to live. My wife, Adria, and I have lived at Little Lake in Cramahe Township since 1988. My experience includes twelve years on Cramahe Council: Councillor - 1991 to 1994, Deputy Reeve - 1994 to 2000, Reeve/Mayor - 2001 - 2003, Warden of Northumberland County - 2002.

As a dedicated community member, I am active in the Rotary Club, United Way Campaign, VBJ Seniors Centre, College of Veterinarians of Ontario, and am a former foster parent.

Council Committee involvement has included Lower Trent Conservation Authority, Cramahe Roads Committee, Emergency Measures Organization, Police Services Board, HKPR Health Board, Cobourg Holdings Inc. / Lakefront Utilities, and various other committees.

I am knowledgeable about the current issues: high taxes, sewage treatment capacity, need for increased industrial and residential development, road maintenance, open communication with residents, and other Municipal concerns. I will work hard to make wise and fair decisions in the best interests of the taxpayers of our Township.

Please feel free to contact me.
