Any resident of Cramahe Township & Alnwick/ Haldimand that registers as a member. 

Visitor's can also register.

   ABOUT OUR SERVICE

  • Pre-booked service - Call for details

  • Various pick up & drop-off locations

  • Van Hours: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

  • NEW July 2009 Wheelchair & Schooter accessible van 

  • Our drivers are screened and trained

 

 FEE

Travel for as low as $5.00 each (One way)

New Service Route connecting Tuesday's & Friday's to Trent Hills (Campbellford, Hastings, Warkworth) for an additional $5.00 one way. Call for details. 

TO REGISTER

Please REGISTER prior to riding.  Complete a Northumberland Transportation
Initiative application form. Registration forms are available at the following
locations throughout Northumberland County:

  • Community Care Northumberland Offices

  • Community and Social Services Department - 555 Courthouse Road, Cobourg

  • Northumberland Child Development Centre - 38 Walton Street, 3rd Floor, Port Hope

  • YMCA Early Years Centres

  • The Help Centre - Fleming Building - 1005 Elgin Street West, Cobourg

  • HKPR District Health Unit - 200 Rose Glen Road, Port Hope

  • Township of Cramahe - Municipal Office - 1 Toronto Street, Colborne www.visitcramahe.ca

  • Registration forms are also available at most service agencies, local libraries, post offices & arenas in the service area.

  • Call AT LEAST  24 hours in advance

  • Leave a DETAILED message

  • Availability:  first come, first served

  • Reservation confirmation includes day, time and pickup location

 

STOP REQUEST

Please arrange at time of booking if you wish to be picked up or dropped off at a location other than a regular van stop.  The driver will let you off the van as close to your request as is safely possible.

* Please note - While in Cobourg, riders can use the Cobourg Transit. Complimentary passes available - ask driver when boarding.

 

 PAYMENT

Please pay the driver when boarding.   Please have exact change

 

POLICIES/PROCEDURES

  • Safety - You are required to wear you seat belt at all times.  Children under 8 must be in proper car seats. NIT has car seats available to use while riding. 

  • Storage - Space is very limited; advise if bringing large items.

  • Pets - No pets allowed; certified medical assistance/guide dogs excepted.

  • Lost items - We are not responsible for personal items lost or stolen.  Items left behind will be stored in our office for 2 months.

  • No food, drink or smoking is permitted.

  • Please help keep the van tidy!
